The 9th edition of the India International Innovation & Invention Expo (INEX) was held in Goa, at the city of Margao, from November 13-15, 2024. The event was organized under the patronage of some of the world’s largest associations promoting innovation and received support from the Goa State Innovation Council of the Government of Goa, industry associations, and India’s leading research and development institutes.

Goa, with its rich Portuguese heritage spanning over 450 years, offers a unique blend of Eastern and Western cultural influences. The Western royal attire of kings is as much a part of Goa’s cultural heritage as its regional dances, which reflect the diverse religions and cultures of the state. Local festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Carnival, Diwali, Shigmo, Chavoth, Samvatsar Padvo, and Dasara highlight the state’s vibrant traditions. The state is also known for its well-developed tourist infrastructure.

India is a trillion-dollar market and the 6th fastest-growing economy globally. The main goal of INEX is the international promotion and transfer of innovation. As part of fostering knowledge exchange within the innovator community, the Innovation Year Book 2024 was published during the expo.
